The historic song "SARA' PERCHE' TI AMO" by RICCHI E POVERI presented at the Sanremo Festival in 1981 and among the best known of the famous trio, was chosen for the soundtrack of the film by Susanne Bier "Love is all you need" romantic comedy presented this year at the 69th Venice International Film festival (out of competition) and released in Italian cinemas on December 20th.
"SARA' PERCHE' TI AMO" was the single biggest selling Italian in 1981 and gave the trio international success, making RICCHI E POVERI a cult band all the way from Europe to Latin America, to Russia. Thus, after thirty-one, the song was chosen as the symbol of Italian for the sound track of the brilliant comedy "Love is all you need", a tribute to Italy filmed in Copenhagen and the Amalfi Coast, played by Pierce Brosnan and Trine Dyrholm.
"SARA' PERCHE' TI AMO" is one of the great successes of RICCHI E POVERI harvests in their latest album "PERDUTAMENTE AMORE '(Blue Music).

The story of the RICCHI E POVERI starts in Genoa in 1968, was in full beat era, in the wake of Mama's & Papa's. The debut of Angela Brambati, Angelo Sotgiu, Franco Gatti and Marina Occhiena (but left the group in 1981) is the Cantagiro with the song "L'ULTIMO AMORE", cover in Italian of "Everlasting Love" brought to success by the British Love Affair.
The band was noticed by Franco Califano, who became their top producer. They sell more than 20 million records worldwide, climbing the Italian charts. In 1985 he won the Sanremo Festival with the song "SE M'INNAMORO" Their long and versatile career has marked the history of Italian music of the last forty years because of the huge international success of songs like "SARA' PERCHE' TI AMO", "MAMMA MARIA", "CHE SARA'" and many others.
